Seared Yellowfin Tuna Sashimi With Pomegranate Seeds & Wasabi Mayo

This dish not only tastes phenomenal but looks amazing. Wow your guests the next time you host a dinner party with this spectacular recipe.


Serves: Two as a main, or Four as a starter

2 Tuna steaks

Micro herbs (optional)

2 tablespoons pomegranate seeds


2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 cloves garlic crushed 

Juice of 1-2 limes

1 tablespoon ginger grated 

1 chilli finely chopped

2 teaspoons honey  

1 tablespoon sesame oil

Wasabi Mayo 

1 tablespoon  Avocado mayonnaise            

1 teaspoon wasabi paste


  • For the wasabi mayo. Mix the dressing ingredients in a bowl and set aside. Mix the wasabi with the mayonnaise making sure there are no lumps.

  • Season the tuna and sear for no more than 30 minutes on each side in really hot pan. Sear the sides and remove to cool. When cool slice using a really sharp knife.

  • Arrange on a plate, sprinkle with the pomegranate seeds, drizzle with the dressing and dot the wasabi mayo around the plate. 

  • Serve with micro herbs.
