Dreamy Interiors at The Rose Hotel, Deal
Located in the heart of the beautiful seaside town of Deal on the coast of Kent, The Rose is a, restaurant, bar, and boutique hotel brimming with artistic charm and seriously good comfort food.
For over 200 years, the Rose has been serving a friendly drink on Deal’s High Street. What was once a run-down high-street pub, The Rose is now prominent and popular inn and restaurant or, as it was then known ‘A Family and Commercial House’.
The New owners, husband and wife Christopher Hicks and Alex Bagner, wanted to restore it to its Victorian heyday, and embarked on an extensive renovation re-opening The Rose as a chic seaside destination in May 2018.
Design & Layout
The interiors are designed to feel welcoming and warm, vibrant with an artistic & eclectic style throughout. With original 1950s paneling, a restored corduroy banquette, brass and Marmoleum tables and vintage lighting, the open-kitchen restaurant has a retro vibe. The adjoining lounge and bar, has a more laid-back cosy feel with a wood-burning stove, sofas, antique rugs, walls lined with art & a selection of coffee-table books and games.
The interior comes courtesy of Harding and Read (who were also the mastermind behind The Garden House
at the Beaverbrook hotel, Surrey). hardingandread.com
